Start with the comparison criteria and the red flags in our school guide. They are the scorecard to apply to every school below.
Rates are copied from the page linked on each entry and show the date printed on that page. Many schools print no date, and then the entry says “date not shown”. A rate is for one aircraft and one location, and fuel surcharges, taxes and other fees may apply.
Request an itemized written quote from any school you consider: instruction, aircraft, fuel, fees, exams, and the refund policy, before you pay a deposit.
This is not a ranking. Order is alphabetical by state, then school. No school has paid to be listed. If a sponsored listing is ever added, it will be labeled “Sponsored” and kept in a separate section.
