Helicopter pilot pay scales: what employers publish

Retrieved 2026-10-25 | every row last verified that day | reviewed quarterly

Most helicopter employers do not publish pay. This page collects what employers and government agencies do publish in their own postings, pay tables and careers pages, and says plainly when only the factors that affect pay are listed.

How to read this table

  • Range: a low and high figure, or a single figure, in a posting or pay schedule.
  • Scale: steps, grades or years-of-service tiers with a figure for each.
  • Factors only: things that change pay (bonuses, shift pay, benefits) but no dollar figure.
  • Nothing published found: we checked the employer's own pages and found no pay information, or the page could not be read.

Figures are copied exactly as the source states them. We do not average, adjust or estimate, and a blank means the employer did not publish a figure. A posting describes one position at one base on one date, not what you would be offered. Postings expire, so check the source. No employer has paid to be listed or to change what appears here.

Note on offshore employers: Era Group and Bristow Group announced on June 11, 2020 that they had completed their merger, and the combined company uses the Bristow Group name. Source
